Bar Harbor & Ocean Trail Hike

We did come to Bar Harbor before, and that time we did a coach trip around the town and into the Acadia National Park, then went whale watching in the afternoon (mostly basking sharks). This time we were a bit more active, doing a walk along a part of the Ocean Trail with a couple of guides, one botanist and one ornithologist. The walk was good, not quite as strenuous as I would have liked but beautiful scenery and quite good weather once the fog lifted

Portland, Maine & Portland Highlights and the Victorian Mansion

We haven’t been to Portland before so we picked a bus tour to see as much as we could. Its impossible to take good photos through the window of a moving bus, but I did take a few of the mansion

Boston & The Freedom Walking Trail

First stop on the cruise was Boston, we’ve been here before on another cruise years ago (but that was during the Big Dig and mostly what we saw was a massive traffic jam from the back of a bus). This time, we decided to do the Freedom Walking Trail so we could hear all about how horrible the evil British were to the colonists… Winking smile
